Recovery Resources for Pagans and Non-Believers (SWP S1:E3)

Here’s just a few resources that may help you in beginning to find the right combination of recovery resources for yourself. Read and research, cherry pick and combine, experiment and test out until you form a program of recovery that is crafted solely for you. The following are a few that helped me in my quest. Please share in the comments if there were other books, websites, pages, groups, etc. that helped you so that others have more options to try out!

Aaagnostica.org (just an ah-mazing website for agnostics and atheists who are trying to get sober)

Good without God (Book by Greg M. Epstein)

The Proactive 12 Steps

Rational Recovery

Beyond Belief: Agnostic Musings for 12 Step Life (Daily Reader)

SMART Recovery

SOS (which stands for Save Our Selves)

The Pagan in Recovery: The 12-Steps from a Pagan Perspective (Book by Deirdre Anne Hebert)

Pagans in Recovery (FB group with regular Zoom meetings)

The Satanic Temple’s Sober Faction Group (which has a FB group with regular Zoom meetings)

Advocacy, Recovery, Community, and Humanity (ARCH) (another FB group with regular Zoom meeting)

Sober Witches and Pagans (FB group)

Clean and Sober Pagans (FB group)

A Stoic Guidebook for Recovery (Derek Castleman)

You can always do a group search on Facebook, Instagram, etc. by just typing in “sober pagans” or “sober witches” and all these and more should pop up. I will try to come back to list and continue to add new things as I encounter them!
